Remember Breathing, Carriageway Studio, Almonte Ontario. April 2017

Ink drawings on cotton glued to porcelain, white surfaces where women like my grandmothers found their place and identity. The embroidery was my mother’s trousseau, mine now, to transform it into a new allegory. Drawings with China ink describing human anatomies, deep inside, where we are all the same colour. White, black and red.
