Artist Statement

It amazes me to witness how the force of life strives to maintain itself. Every living cell is moving to grow and evolve or waiting for the right time to do so. Even the virus around me shows me the underlaying mystery of life cycles. I love kitchen processes that involve live organisms such as sourdough, kombucha, and sauerkraut. All of these interests are visible in my artwork in a metaphorical way.

Bio

I have nourished my passion for arts and culture wherever I live while juggling jobs, family life to keep my art practice alive. Born in Colombia, paths have taken me to live in England, Switzerland, Canada, China and Japan. Today I call Ottawa home where I am growing roots in my communities and in my artwork.
